I do really hope that Corfu presented in this blog did interest you. Trying to show it from different angles I wanted those who will devote a minute or two to read my posts to fall in love with this lush, green island as I did some time ago.

Pink Palace and holidays out of the ordinary :)
Among the most popular resorts to visit in Corfu there is that one, particularily well known to backpackers. They may easily find shelter in a two-star hotel and hostel called the Pink Palace.
While already in the Pink Palace people may be active in many different ways:
1) booze cruise:
This is a fantastic day out with lots of fun and partying. The boat leaves from the Pink Palace private beach area. It sets off about midday so you have time to recover from the previous nights partying and it lasts till about 6pm.
2) 4-wheeler safari & rental
Either joining the Safari or hiring a 4-Wheeler Quad ensures an action packed day. The Safari leaves from the Pink Palace resort around 11.30am so once again you have time to recover from the previous nights partying and it returns by 6pm.
3)Kayak safari & rental
A great sightseeing day out on the surf whether you join the Safari or hire alone! Unbelievable exercise, while having tons of fun. The Kayak Safari leave from our private beach at about 11.30am.
4)In the water or on the beach
Not all days have to be filled with full-on activities. You may just want to relax whilst soaking up the Mediterranean rays or swim in the crystal clear, blue waters of the Ionian Sea. We have all you need for a relaxing or recovering mood
5)Palladium Nightclub
Join us every evening where you can party the night away. The entertainment starts to build straight after dinner and continues until the early hours - we only close when you stop partying. The very relaxed social setting makes it easy to meet and have fun with other fellow travellers whether it be at dinner or at the nightclub.
Wedding in Corfu
Have you ever dreamt about a perfect wedding? That particular day when sun should never be shrouded in clouds, wind could only blow softly to fondle your skin… Green island of Corfu seems then to be the perfect place for you to get married. Olive groves rustling silently, sun that is never hidden by clouds. And high temperatures all year roud.
So if you decide to get married there, what with shopping cases? Do not worry, Corfu, as a promised land for tourists has many boutiques and other shops to choose from when doing shopping for your wedding. Ipsos, located about 15 milometres away from Kerkyra, the capital of the island, is now undeniably the most developed resort on the island. It offers neverending list of attractions for each and every tourist that comes there. There are innumerable boutiques, so every bride will find her beloved dress. And if there occured any diffculties Kerkyra located so close may come in handy. Ipsos may seem a rather noisy place during peak season, in summer. Therefore the best time for a wedding there is in March or April and then at the end of the year. I personally find early spring better, as Corfu only then begins to emit its natural beauty glow and is most beautiful when all the spring flowers begin to blossom.
Ipsos, wedding, corfu: those three words will sound like a dream come true for many brides-to-be. And there shall be nothing strange in it. This tiny Greek island captivates anybody who comes here with its natural beauty and wilderness of nature.

Corfu cafes
No matter what cafe in Corfu you will enter, you will probably find the menu offered in each one really similar. Food served there will be either continental, aimed at those tourists that find it not necessarily interesting to try new tastes or typically Greek so those who love to delve into the culture of the land they are visiting will have the opportunity to try Greeek cuisine.
Cafe is also a place to drink something and a true paradise for those who happen to have a sweet tooth. Cafes in Corfu, maybe because of its location <it is not far from Italy>, tend to serve Italian types of coffes. Cappuccino, latte macchiato or plain espresso. All of them are aromatic, give you additional sparkle of life and mixed with a delicious piece of cake make every afternoon unforgettable. And what cakes are thought to be typically corfian ones? These are spicy < ! > with characteristic taste. Most popular ones are Fig Seed ones with cinnamon and aniseed. They undeniably taste the best with coffee liquor: a coffe with a bit of qumquat liquer served in Irish coffee glasses. Tastes best after a square meal!
Liapades: a truly Greek town in Corfu
Corfu boasts nearly innumerable places of interest. One of them is Liapades, located a stone’s throw away from Corfu city. Situated on the west coast,a bout 2o kilometres from Corfu town, at the northern tip of an area called “the Ropa Valley”. Beneath the town itself, located high abouve sea level there is Liapades beach. Liapades has not changed much throughout history. It still is a tiny place with only 1000 inhabitants, typically Greek, soaked with mediterranean spirit.
Liapades is divided into two parts: the one located around the beach, just 800 metres from the town centre is a district totally devoted for tourists. There are many hotels, restaurants, places of entertainment and many more. What is truly special about Liapades is that it never gave up to globalisation and lost its unique spirit. There you can still listen to typical Greek music, eat Greek food and see Greeks doing their jobs. Going for a market can be really gripping: to see things that are offered: beautifully made souvenirs, pieces of clothing. Try to haggle a bit, you won’t be disappointed. Hostory left its mark in the town as well. There is a beautiful church of St. Anastasia that was built around 1600-1630 AD. It is really worth visitng as in recent years it was restored to its previous state .

Corfu City: a real arena for Corfu photographers
Taking pictures of Corfu city… Go for a walk aroung the harbour. See all the colourful boats. Immortalise them in pictures. See jobs like fisherman or boatswain. Try to present them from the best angle. The one that will cast light on their faces, show all the difficulties they face each day. But also highlight those sparkles in their eyes that glitter: these are passion for what they are doing as well as sheer joy they find in each and every day of their lives. Sea is their second home. Try to picture those aquamarine waters as well when in the harbour, then take photos from the beach or from further inlands. Try to spot similarities and differences. I can guarantee that going for such a stroll and seeking for interesting topics for photographs is a strikingly engrossing task.
Corfu city has many narrow, winding streets. Each and every corner of this city has something interesting to offer. Tourists that find sunbathing too boring to get engrossed should never hesitate to grab their cameras and go hunting in the city. Apart from photographing different buildings and monuments it is highly advisable to try and spot typically Greek people while doing their jobs. And try to present them with that characteristic atmophere of Corfu.

Videos about diving :)
Diving is becoming more and more popular , simultaneously with the rising rate of income in Western countries. People compete in different aspects of this sport. Not only when it comes down to actual diving. There are vidoes to make underwater to impress your neighbours after coming back. Video from holidays is undeniably a marker of fantastic time spent there as well as affluence and talents that are indispensible when making films.
Diving in Corfu means discovering wrecks of ships that reached the bottom of Ionian Sea before ages. There is truly an unadulterated pleasure in discovering those forgotten mysteries of the past. Venetian sailing ships, Ottoman vessels that sank because of either a storm either a hostile attack A video made among clear blue waters that surround those wreckages will , without a shadow of a doubt, impress each and every neighbour that will watch it. rumour has it that there are many videos to buy on the market in corfu so one does not necessarily need to strain himself and try to make his own. Good piece of news is that those films successfully imitate ones that you could have made by yourself. Bad news are, prices tend to be rather high, not to say exorbitant.

Corfu shops, spices and herbs
Corfu, when it comes down to shopping, is a true paradise, a promised land for those that find unaduterated pleasure in enriching their home kitchen with different and various spices that come from parts of the world they are actually visiting.
To make your home kitchen more Greek it is highly advisable to buy olive oil, that is made of Corfian olives that grow fondled by warm sunshine. There is also a wide choice of herb teas that are in innumerable tastes to choose from. After coming back home from holidays in Corfu you will find its spirit in these teas you bought in that cosy little shop and feel like going back to that divine place on Earth. Apart from teos and olive oil it is a must to purchase spices that are most commonly used in Corfu and these are for example:
*anise (used for preparing Uzo, to season lamb, fruit salads and sweet sauces)
*caraway(a herb that is always added to bread, cheeses, roast meat or cakes)
*cayenne pepper(one of the most hot, used mostly to season dishes that combine eggs and noodles)
*laurel leaves(added to different soups)
There are plenty of tiny little markets offering such thngs, for example the one in Kavos, a place where shopping is actually limited to food and other essetials. In Kavos, as in whole Greece you need to remember to haggle hard, either in a shop or on a street market. About corfu you may also say: Greece minimalised to a tiny isalnd, and that will be true: Corfiuan cuisine perfectly reflects Greek one.

Live on the beach
Corfu, as a place to which tourists never stop coming is a true centre of life. Hotel managers, nightclub owners compete when it comes down to inventing different live parties.
In hotels there is always something to choose from oscilating between art competitions or sport ones. People make different things out of clay, or paint and draw. That seems to be a perfect way to give vent to anger or frustration that are accumulated in their minds. Instead of constant reapeating ‘ gr, gr, gr, gr..’ like a furious monster they set their minds to creating little pieces of art that are live examples of effectivesness this kind of invetions.
Info about sport competitions may be easily found on any beach, there are many centres of water sports. Swimming, water-skiing or diving may be the examples of events that attract possible competitors. And these are no competitions for professional sportsmen, as they are aimed at entertaining tourists. Just think of participating in such an event on the beach< according to my info> : all the chicks will be yours if you win
and mutually, all the guys will be impressed. Oh yes, rivarly in sport is the best way to forget about tensions of everyday life and focus on something else that achieving more, faster and better. To have a good laugh and tire yourself : that is the aim of such sport events.
